She is obsessed with leveling the playing field when it comes to creating jobs in the black community. When she embarked on this entrepreneurial and philanthropic journey to create jobs that will help decrease the poverty, unemployment, incarceration and recidivism rates she knew the only way to do that was to start a business. Within a year, we’ve grown tremendously by launching our product in Meijer. Our product sits on the shelve at the Meijer Rivertown Market, along with 3 local grocery stores, and 2 gas stations to date.
Hi, my name is Dutchess Hamilton. Dutchess, is a black woman entrepreneur, philanthropist and Founder of Global Foods Distribution Center LLC dba Bamboo Toilet Paper Company. Dutchess has been an advocate for her community all her life. Growing up in church, provided her a sense of compassion for bettering the community. Under her father’s leadership, they sponsored many food drives, clothing drives, free community events ranging from free food giveaways, free health screening, educational events and so much more. Dutchess is invested and passionate about making sure her community becomes a community that is thriving on every level. Fighting for better education, clean water, nutrition and to end world hunger is her life’s mission. Making the world a better place for the next generation is the goal.
Building this business is her passion, her product is my passion, her community is her passion. Helping people and working with underprivileged people is my passion. Growth and empowerment is my passion. Her goal is to change the narrative in the black community, teach love and empowerment so that the new norm in her community will be that of togetherness, where the fabric and the narrative is changed for a community where it builds on empowering the next generation and generations to come.
