Great place to eat some delicious soul food! I had the best tasting chicken fried steak I’ve had in years and the brown gravy was good too! We also ordered lemon pepper and buffalo wings, they were a good size and flavorful. There was a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it for hot, fresh food. The owner also greeted us and was welcoming. Can’t wait to come back again!

I recently dined and had an outstanding experience that I must share. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the catfish, which was incredibly delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy, flavorful exterior and tender, moist flesh inside. Every bite was a delight, bursting with well-balanced seasonings that truly elevated the dish. Equally impressive was the shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy and rich, providing the perfect base for the succulent shrimp, which were cooked to perfection and spicy as well. The combination of textures and flavors in this dish was absolutely superb, making it a memorable and satisfying experience. I highly recommend trying the catfish and shrimp and grits – they are sure to impress!

J's Eatery is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. They've got seriously delicious meatloaf, red beans and rice, chicken and waffles, fried fish and spaghetti, pasta, and banana pudding. I'm a forever fan of the Jeffries and their fine establishment!

My first time here was last night for a birthday party dinner. I enjoyed the food and establishment so much I needed another go at it today. It did not disappoint at all. I had the smothered chicken wings, sautéed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes last night. Today I wanted the smothered wings again, but got the wingettes instead of whole wings, chicken and spinach alfredo w/garlic toast. Absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place over, and over again. A great soul food option anytime you want some great food, and nice ambiance. Management was so welcoming and courteous. Despite the unassuming exterior, this restaurant is a hidden gem with delectable dishes and generous portions. Celebrated a birthday here tonight, and the space was fabulous for all 25 of us. I treated myself to catfish, Caesar salad, and greens—all served piping hot, with a delightful kick in the greens. The shrimp and grits, along with the jumbo chicken wings, looked equally impressive. The entire group was thoroughly impressed with their meals. Special kudos to the fantastic owner, Bryan.
